Women Life Freedom

Flag_of_Iran.svg.webp

Protesters are coming together around the world in a show of support for women in Iran. The protests erupted in Iran after the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini who had been arrested by Iran's "morality police" while on a family trip to Tehran for violating the country's hijab (headscarf) laws. Then transferred to a hospital where she was already in a coma and brain dead upon arrival due to similar symptoms of a concussion. The Islamic Republic has denied the allegations that Amini was murdered in custody. Around the globe, protesters are chanting the words "Women, life, freedom" and even cutting their hair and burning head scarves because the law wants to have a say on what women do with their appearance.

Even in America, the law wants to have control over how women go about their lives, and for centuries women have been oppressed by the law around the world. All women deserve to decide how they live their lives. In the past year women around the world have been stripped of their basic human rights. It's 2022, and women still have to protest against the people who are supposed to protect them just asking to be heard and to have literal basic. human. rights.

So, why is Lost Advisory talking about it?

NetBlocks have also reported an almost full disruption to internet access in various cities in Iran. Preventing protesters to get their message out to the world, and put an end to the disgusting things that the Iranian government is doing to their people. Protesters are also being prevented from showing the documentation of the police brutality happening in Iran, leaving them completely silenced. We want to use our platform as a way to spread awareness about what is going on in Iran and support our women around the world going through the same things.

In addition, Lost Advisory will not be releasing any clothing or videos for a while in order to put more attention on this subject.
